   Soybean Prices Surge on Brazil's Weather Woes

   With heavy rains damaging the soybean harvest in southern Brazil and
Argentina also harvesting in wet conditions, July soybeans closed up 28 3/4
cents and July soybean meal was up $15.90, the largest percentage gain among
Thursday's grain-related contracts. July corn closed up 9 cents and all three
U.S. wheats also ended higher.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   July corn closed up 9 cents and December corn was up 6 3/4 cents. July
soybeans closed up 28 3/4 cents and November soybeans were up 22 3/4 cents.
July KC wheat closed up 11 1/2 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 5 cents and
July Minneapolis wheat was up 7 cents.
